700 Gamestop Employees Laidoff

The completion of the merger between Gamestop and EB Games is finally beginning to take its toll on the work force of the new company, as approximately 700 Gamestop employees are about to lose their job in Philidelphia. Where and when more layoffs will take place has yet to be seen.
In the coming months, Gamestop plans to convert all of the over 2,000 existing EB Games locations to the Gamestop brand, though no exact time frame has been given regarding how long this will take. |
